| BIBLE READINGS & THE GOSPEL |
We hear God's word from the bible both from the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed. | ![]() |
| THE SERMON | After the Gospel the preacher offers a sermon. It gives insight and teaching for the Christian faith.   | ![]() |
| THE BAPTISM | Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives. It is a joyful occasion when we rejoice in what God has done for us in Christ, making serious promises and declaring the faith. We welcome the new Christian, promising support and prayer for the future.   | ![]() |
| THE PRAYERS | Prayers are said for the church and the world. We pray each week for the sick and for those who have recently died. | ![]() |
| CONFIRMATION | The Bishop comes once a year for the Confirmation Service. Those newly confirmed are invited to share in Christ's mission, building the kingdom of God. The Bishop lays his hands upon the head of each one saying: ' Confirm, O Lord your servant with your Holy Spirit.' | ![]() |
| THE COMMUNION | We gather around the altar to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. We call this Holy Communion and all confirmed members of the church are welcome. | ![]() |
| THE ENDING | At the end of the service we receive a final blessing and are asked to go out to continue God's work in our homes, our parish and in the world. | ![]() |
